WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE COOP

APPLE TASTING!!
Keith from Mt. Erie Gardens will provide apple tasting on Friday, Nov. 30 from noon til closing.  He has an amazing variety of heirloom apples, all grown locally.  If you can't make it tomorrow, be assured the Coop will have lots of his apples for sale in the weeks ahead.
The Coop is governed by a five-member Board of Directors who represent you. The next board meeting is Monday, December 3, 6:15 pm at 3805 "O" St.
AT THE STORE

Golden beets are lovely, grown nearby at Ralph's Greenhouse.  Large avocados are back and a great price, $2.59 each.

We love sprouts!  With two local producers, there are lots of choices including spicy wasabi.

NEW STAFF
JenJoy is a dynamic addition to the Coop team.  She's very excited about healthy food and healthy people and will apply her knowledge from a career in nursing to caring about all our members and customers.  She and her partner have four daughters and two well-trained dogs (well, at least one out of two).  Come on down to the store for a super smile from JenJoy!
Sara is helping out with produce and clerking.  She has served as secretary on the Board and will continue in the employee board position.  She has been a Coop member since the very beginning.  Her lifelong love of good food, gardening and cooperatives fits right in.  Previously she worked as a librarian and manager.  She looks forward to helping the Coop grow in its mission to serve the community.
COOPERATIVE INITIATIVES
