Newsletter #15
Dear SIM² KU Leuven partner,

Over the past few months SIM² KU Leuven has gone through exciting times. In September 2018 our Steering Committee decided to expand its research scope (now also including metal extraction from primary ores) and to submit a formal proposal to become an official KU Leuven Institute, responding to KU Leuven’s Strategic Policy Plan for 2018-2021 (On Crossroads, for a Sustainable Society). This 15th Newsletter testifies to the vibrant activities of our research cluster during the past months, which corroborate our intention to contribute to Europe’s ambitions to become climate neutral by 2050 and establish a circular economy. (PTJ – November 30, 2018) .
