Students fill 100 shoeboxes for Christmas appeal
Debden Park High School has collected 100 boxes for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaign.
The charity event is about giving and students had to wrap and fill a shoebox and send it to under-privileged children all over the world.
The students had to select an age category and sex that they were primarily making their shoebox for and fill it with items appropriate to that category, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, toothbrush and deodorant as well as gifts such as colouring pencils, stickers, toy aeroplanes, teddy bears, playing cards - and even a cymbal-playing monkey.
Students had to pre-pay for the shipping and with this they received a barcode so they can track their shoebox to its destination.
