Andrea Sosnitskiy is a Resource Parent Support Specialist in the Foster Care program at Turning Points for Children. Support Specialists provide support to certified Resource Families (foster families.) They assist with essential resources and referrals based on the child or family needs such as daycare, food programs or affordable housing. Support Specialists improve the lives of those we serve.
Andrea just celebrated her four year anniversary with Turning Points this month. She has seen the Foster Care program grow over the years and so has her family. For many of our staff, this is more than a job; it’s a way of life and a cause for celebration.
At the time Andrea joined Turning Points for Children she was fostering a little boy who she ended up adopting on February 25, 2015. He is 5 years old now and loves his forever family.
In April 2017, Andrea began fostering a newborn baby boy. The baby developed multiple health issues and had gross motor delays. The baby was hospitalized 5 times in a 5 month period…he’s a fighter and is doing much better now. Today, Andrea’s baby is 20 months old and she adopted him on July 9, 2018!
