Toledo, OH, May 13, 2011 – RESTORE Inc., is hosting Toledo’s first ever “Fatherhood Walk” on Saturday, June 18
th (10-12:00) at Central Catholic High School. The walk is part of RESTORE Inc. public awareness campaign to raise the awareness of the important roles fathers play in the lives of their children.
The 2 mile walk through the surrounding neighborhoods will start and end at Central Catholic High School. A rally will take place immediately following the walk on the lawn of Central Catholic. University of Toledo’s Hall of Fame Quarterback & NCAA Record Holder, Chuck Ealy will be the guest speaker, addressing the crowd on the important role father’s play in the lives of their children. The event is expected to draw hundreds of responsible fatherhood supporters. Sponsors and supporters include The City of Toledo, McDonalds, Buckeye Cablesystem, Moms House, Focus on the family, Toledo’s Urban League, Lourdes College, Kaliba Records, Yell & Tell, State Farms, United Way of Greater Toledo, Lutheran Social Services, YMCA, Main Street Ventures, and Lucas County Children Services.
“We want this event to draw attention to the profound role father’s play in the lives of their children. Research confirms that children do better in every measure of development when there is a responsibly involved father in their lives”, said Mark Robinson, Founder…..This is a free community event and we are challenging businesses to form teams and show their support of fathers, father figures, & mentors. The team with the most members will win a Catered lunch.” In addition to free registration, the first 500 registrants will receive a free commemorative T-shirt Participants can register on line at

R.E.S.T.O.R.E., Inc. was founded in 2006 by Responsible Fatherhood Advocate, Mark Robinson. Mr. Robinson is a Social Worker by profession and currently serving as The Director of Field Education at Lourdes College Department of Social Work. He is currently serving on the Ohio Practitioners Network for Fathers and Families (OPNFF) Board, which is a statewide collaboration that seeks to advance a fatherhood and family agenda at the state and local level. Vendor tables are available for a small fee.
