The last few months have been busy ones, we have just finished a 9k video wall project (more on that in the next newsletter) and have some very exciting productions bubbling along ready for some big announcements soon but let’s focus on recent events.

Fulldome UK 2011 Festival

We managed to find a break in our busy schedule to take a road trip to the 2nd Fulldome UK event held at ThinkTank, Birmingham. We screened We Are Astronomers and our Creative Guru Max gave a ‘unique’ presentation on Storytelling for the dome. It was great to see so much interest for dome in our homeland, meet up with old friends and make some new ones; full festival report here.

Creative Business of the Year Award

In April we picked up the ‘Creative Business of the Year Award’ from the Leicestershire Business Awards 2011. We continue to expand our creative portfolio but this recognition as a successful business validates our hard work and that we are not just good at making pretty pictures! Get the scoop here.

IFF’11

Time for the 2.0s to celebrate once again after picking up two awards at IFF’11 in Espinho, Portugal. We Are Astronomers picked up prestigious awards for ‘Best of IFF’ and ‘Best Script’. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the festival and enjoyed our show. More here.
