Baking Books Make Great Resources and Gifts!

The Home Baking Association has four great baking books to suggest for your bookshelf. We are happy to include two new HBA Writers Guild Members and their terrific books to this list, as well as our perennial favorites Baking with Friends and The Cultured Chef

We are constantly striving to locate helpful resources for use in classroom, afterschool or community programs. We've included some in this newsletter, as well as on our Educator Resources page at HomeBaking.org. Finally, we'd like to draw attention to the Dine In Day event taking place in early December.

The Cultured Chef

The Cultured Chef  was designed to promote diversity. The 119 page hardback book includes recipes and stories about world culture.

Cooking and cultural education make the perfect partnership. Spending time in the kitchen allows many opportunities to learn life skills such as counting, measuring, and following instructions. And cultural exploration offers an opportunity for children to become healthy and active participants in an ever-shrinking global community.
