INTERIM DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
_____________________________________________
It's that special time of the year when we focus on the things we're thankful for. At HousingWorks Austin, we are particularly thankful to be part of a city that sets the standard for compassion. With housing prices continuing to soar, leaving families and individuals in crisis, Austin leaders and residents could look the other way, but time and time again, choose instead to lend a helping hand.

HousingWorks is committed to seeking out effective ways for Austin to help those in need. That's why we are  partnering with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to bring together some of the brightest minds in the country and our city to explore the intersection between Housing and Economic Opportunity. Our summit, Housing + Economic Opportunity - Reimagining the American Dream, scheduled for Friday, February 9th, will examine ways housing providers can partner with organizations that provide education, job opportunities and workforce training so everyone in our city, region and country can have access to income mobility.

Early bird registration is now open for the summit and that discount option will be offered through December 25th. Learn more about the summit on our website. We hope you will make plans to join us February 9th. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend.
