This year I'm looking for ways to simplify my life during the holiday season. With four young ones at home, that means being thoughtful about how I spend my time and what I say "yes" to. I've learned some incredibly magic words - "That doesn't work for me right now." For some reason those words are a million times easier to say than "no," and it surprises me every time how people are completely accepting and understanding that I can't do everything. Even so, things will still be busy. I'm making sure I leave some quiet time for myself to knit in the evenings because it's one thing I can always count on to melt away the stress of the whirlwind days.
