Living in a Dream

Psalm 72:3-7
3May the mountains bring prosperity to the people,
    the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he defend the afflicted among the people
    and save the children of the needy;
    may he crush the oppressor.
5 May he endure[a] as long as the sun,
    as long as the moon, through all generations.
6 May he be like rain falling on a mown field,
    like showers watering the earth.
7 In his days may the righteous flourish
    and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
 

Doesn’t this Psalm have a rich, dream like quality to it? It sounds so amazing! Abundance, protection, justice and a long and sustaining reign full of prosperity, until the end of time.

It’s not our reality yet, but we can look forward to peace and stability like this one day. It’s so important to come back to passages like this and have our hope and hearts refreshed on those days when the darkness and corruption in our current world get us down.
