From October 2016 to July 2017 the Erasmus+ program EULER has developed a series of laboratories in Mehringplatz and the Südliche Friedrichstadt investigating the potentiality of the neighbourhood, its history and current transformations. Some hundred people in total attended the 16 seminars and workshops and the international conference. The training activities and public discussions have been an opportunity to reflect on the socio-economic context of the neighbourhood and to collect a series of materials contributing an in progress local online atlas project.

It is time for a balance of this season and a reflection on future developments of this work. We invite you to join the event that will take place on 30 November 2017 at the Bauhütte Südliche Friedrichstadt where we present also the final publication of EULER recently launched in London. This is a set of six booklets that includes a thematic introduction on economy and skills, the reports of the four local applications in Antwerp, Barcelona, London and Berlin, and the proceedings of the Learning from Context conference. The event will be (mainly) in German.

Participants are invited to stay for a musical jam session afterwards curated by The Space Berlin.

Zwischen Oktober 2016 und Juli 2017 hat das Erasmus+ Programm EULER eine Reihe von Laboratorien am Mehringplatz und in der Südlichen Friedrichstadt entwickelt, welche die Potenziale der Nachbarschaft, dessen Geschichte und aktuelle Transformationen erforschten. Mehrere hundert Menschen haben insgesamt an den 16 Seminaren und Workshops sowie der internationalen Konferenz teilgenommen. Die Trainingsaktivitäten und öffentlichen Diskussionen boten Gelegenheit, die sozioökonomischen Zusammenhänge der Nachbarschaft zu reflektieren und eine Reihen an Materialien zusammenzustellen, die in einen gerade entstehenden Online-Atlas einfließen werden. 

Es ist nun an der Zeit, eine Bilanz aus der bisherigen Arbeit zu ziehen und über ihre zukünftige Entwicklung zu reflektieren. Wir laden euch daher am 30. November 2017 in die Bauhütte Südliche Friedrichstadt ein, wo wir außerdem die EULER Abschlusspublikation vorstellen möchten, die kürzlich in London erschienen ist. Das Set aus sechs Booklets beinhaltet eine thematische Einführung zu Ökonomie und Fähigkeiten, Berichte aus den vier lokalen teilnehmenden Projekten in Antwerpen, Barcelona, London und Berlin, sowie Berichte aus der „Learning from Context“-Konferenz. Die Veranstaltung wird größtenteils auf deutsch stattfinden.

Im Anschluss wird eine Jam Session von The Space Berlin stattfinden, zu der alle Teilnehmenden herzlich eingeladen sind.
