Lost at Sea
The US Navy has joined in the search for the 44 crew submarine (ARA San Juan) that went missing last week Wednesday. The vessel disappeared about 430 kilometers off the Argentinan coast. On Saturday, officials reported satellite signals near the Valdez peninsula but could not confirm if they were sent from the missing submarine. Adverse weather conditions have been hampering the rescue mission but officials say the crew should have ample food and oxygen aboard.

This map depicts the route the submarine took. Click on the map to learn more about the story.

Morocco
Food Stampede
On Sunday, in the town of Sidi Boulaalam, 15 women were trampled to death when a stampede occurred during the distribution of food aid. Morocco has been in the grip of a severe drought, which devasted the country's agriculture and has resulted in the high cost of basic food items. Officals have stated that King Muhammed VI instructed authorities to help those affected and that he would "personally cover all medical and funeral costs".
