2018 Exhibitor & Waiting List Update
All renewing exhibitors should have received both a confirmation and an invoice email from our new registration system within the past two weeks. If you did not get these, please reply to this message and we will forward a copy.
Note: Check your spam filters for emails from "@expotrac.com".
For those on our waiting list, we now have 23 spaces open for the 2018 show. These will be the lobby tabletops located at the top of the 2nd-level staircase (see floor plan link below). We will start contacting those at the top of the wait list at the beginning of January. For other interested companies, we will have meeting table options available in the Drayton Room - and news on a second annual event in Austin, TX shortly (see last section below):

2018 Hotels & Schedule Changes:
Earlier 10:00 AM Showcase Start + Later 4:00 PM Exhibits Opening
The Belmond Charleston Place 2018 room block was sold-out shortly after it opened in early October. The hotel does keep a waiting list that you can get on by calling them directly (+1-843-722-4900) and mentioning the Chemicals America group. There will be two other room blocks available at the downtown Marriott Courtyard and Renaissance. Additional hotel options outside the show block are also available, which are reasonably priced and easy walking distance (Mills House Wyndham, Double Tree Hilton, Market Pavilion, Marriott Grand Bohemian, King Charles Inn).
For travel planning, note that the exhibitor showcase program will begin earlier next year at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 5th. Exhibits will open later that afternoon at 4:00 PM, along with the opening networking reception. Full schedule details are available at the “Agenda” link in first section above.

Update on New February 2019 Show in Austin, TX:
In case you missed it, we announced new plans at this year's Charleston show, for a second annual event in Austin, TX. Several of our team are traveling to Austin next week to visit the Hilton and new Fairmont hotels. The main delay has been waiting for the Fairmont to be completed before making our decision. We are now planning to confirm the exact dates and venue by this time next month.
Some have asked about the profile of this second event, and how we see it fitting with the very successful September show:
Specialty & Custom Chemicals Focus
* The market emphasis will still be bringing together buyers and suppliers of specialty chemical manufacturing - but likely less Agrochemical focused, and more industrial, custom & toll chemical applications. This profile is driven mainly by the specialty and industrial nature of the chemical market in the Houston area, central Texas, and parts of surrounding states that are within driving distance.
North American Focus
* The geographic focus will be on American-based suppliers, same as with the Charleston show. From conversations with many of you, we anticipate 50+% of the existing Charleston exhibitors will be interested in exhibiting at the Austin show. A priority system will be set-up for those companies who have been supporting the show in September.
Hotel Ballroom Format
* The more intimate hotel ballroom format of our Charleston show will also be maintained at the new Austin event. The nice thing about Austin is the availability of larger hotel meeting spaces - where we will be able to accommodate both existing Charleston exhibitors and any new companies interested in exhibiting. One goal of this second event is to offer buyers in our chemical market an even greater selection of suppliers than they are currently able meet at the September event. Plus, we'll be able to double the sleeping room capacity, so more attendees can stay in the host property.
Winter Timing & New Industry Partnership
* We are also working on a new chemical industry partnership, with one of the benefits being the consolidation of some existing events and meetings into this one new event in February. This will help to avoid over-cluttering our already busy industry event calendar.
