Rabbi Elad-Appelbaum is a visionary Israeli Rabbi. KI is honored to present her with our Third Commonwealth Prize for her historic leadership in helping to found 'Israeli Judaism'.
She is the founder and spiritual leader of Kehilat Zion of Jerusalem and co-founder of the seminary for Israeli rabbis of Hamidrasha and the Hartman Institute. Rabbi Elad-Appelbaum's works to advance a Jewish spiritual and ethical renaissance. In 2010 she was named by the Forward as one of the most influential religious leaders in Israel. Rabbi Elad-Appelbaum will teach at Shabbat dinner on Friday, December 1. We will join Congregation Mishkan Tefila for the meal. Dinner will start at 7:00 pm and is $20 per person. The registration deadline is this Friday, November 24. Please register online or call the KI office at 617-277-9155.
JFK Birthplace Annual Ceremony
Tomorrow, Wednesday November 22

Join Rabbi Hamilton and others as we honor the memory of President Kennedy at an annual ceremony that recalls his 1963 assassination. The brief ceremony will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, November 22 at 2 pm at the National Historic site of his birth on Beals Street.
Lost & Found
A lost and found box is available in the Williams St. lobby. Items such as sweaters, hats, gloves, and books will be placed in this box. If you believe you have lost something, you can check this box while you are here or ask the office to check (617-277-9155 or info@congki.org).
Items such as wallets or electronics that are turned in will be kept in the KI office.

Butcherie Receipts
As you shop at the Butcherie, remember to bring your receipts to KI! The Butcherie donates back to KI's Religious School (KIRS) a percentage of everything that you purchase. So keep on collecting those receipts and bring them in to be counted. Their most recent generous donation was almost $1,000 for KIRS!
When you check out, just ask them to stamp the back of your receipt. Then the next time you are at KI, drop off your stamped receipts. There is an envelope for them by the main office. There is also a shoebox labeled "Butcherie Receipts" which is on the table outside of Epstein.

Family Table Donations
Everyone should have enough nutritious food to feed their family. Family Table provides healthy food on a monthly and emergency basis to individuals and families in need.
KI collects canned salmon and whole grain crackers for donating to Jewish Family & Children’s Services. Please place your donations in the wood box in the lobby of the Williams St entrance by the office and Library.
Magen David Adom Volunteering
Magen David Adom is Israel’s ambulance, blood-services, and disaster-relief organization, serving as emergency medical first responders for the state’s more than 8.5 million people. MDA is the only organization mandated by the Israeli government to serve in this role, but it’s not a government agency, so it relies on donations and gifts.
They are looking for volunteers to pick up and replace MDA collection cans in Brookline. If you are interested in this local volunteer opportunity, please contact Barbara Gershen-Swartz at doctorbarbara@comcast.net.
