This past summer, I was invited to exhibit four of my acrylic paintings at M.T. Burton Gallery in Surf City, New Jersey on Long Beach Island (L.B.I.). I was thrilled to have my work in such a lovely space, among wonderful pottery, sculpture and paintings.

If you’ve never been to L.B.I., I suggest a visit. The beaches are beautiful, and, while there’s no boardwalk as at other famous New Jersey beaches, nature lovers and bird watchers (like me) can enjoy Barnegat Lighthouse State Park at the northern tip, and part of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, Holgate at the southern tip of this narrow 18-mile island.
Loving Hares This acrylic painting, “Mama Loves You,” depicts the unconditional love of a mama hare and her leveret (baby). It represents a world where love is simple. Where there is no room for petty divisiveness. Where you don’t have to like someone to love them. Where positive internet souls replace negative internet trolls.
Simple love sounds easy, but it’s not. Let’s keep trying. I think the hares would agree.
