The BIG NEWS!!!
I am thrilled to announce that, after three years of developing unfunded, Mothers Who Make has been awarded a grant from the Arts Council! Hooray!!!!!!
Hot on the heels of the good news comes the next test of strength: we now need to match-fund that grant in order to manifest our mothering/ making dreams.
So, drum roll please for the launch of the Mothers Who Make Crowdfunding Campaign!

If each of you were to give £10 we would immediately hit our target. So please consider this an early Christmas present to us, but also to yourself – it will enable us to better support you in all your mothering and making challenges in the year ahead.

HELP! How do you ask for it?

Support. I know I need it. I know I cannot do it alone, neither the making nor the mothering. I even know that being able to ask for help and receive support are an intrinsic part of doing it well. The support of others is not a necessary inconvenience that I could do without if I were superwoman. It is a good and vital part of the process – good for the children, good for the art, good for me. One of superwoman’s skills should be that she is super good at asking for help. I am not.

NEW GROUPS:
With the Arts Council and our Crowd funder support we are aiming to launch 10 new peer support groups in early 2018. So far we have:
A new NORTH LONDON group starting at JW3
A new SOUTH LONDON group starting at BAC
A new MIDLANDS group launching in April at Attenborough Arts in Leicester
Other groups that, with your support, we hope to have in place soon: Cambridge, Oxford, Birmingham, Sheffield, Glasgow, Brighton, East London.
