EMAP (European Media Art Platform) tarjoaa 2 kuukauden residenssejä mediataiteilijoille 11 maassa. Kunnollisen tuotantobudjetin lisäksi EMAP-residenssitaiteilijat saavat tukea alan asiantuntijoilta ja osallistuvat kumppanien järjestämään kiertueohjelmaan.

Uusi verkosto lanseerataan transmediale 2018 -festivaalilla Berliinissä, ja m-cult isännöi EMAPin ensimmäisen konferenssin Helsingissä 23.-15.3.2018.

The EMAP residency call for 2018 is open! Submit your proposal by January 20th, 2018 at http://call.emare.eu/

EMAP (European Media Art Platform) offers media artists 2-month residencies across 11 countries. Alongside a substantial budget, EMAP residency artists will receive mentoring by experts of the field, and participate in a touring programme hosted by the platform members.

The official launch of the new EMAP platform will take place at transmediale 2018 in Berlin. M-cult will host the platform's first conference in Helsinki, March 23-25, 2018.

Paluu utopiaan -avajaiset 7.12.

Tänä syksynä taiteilija Axel Straschnoy on työskennellyt MAYKin oppilaiden ja paikallisten “erikoisasiantuntijoiden” kanssa utopiateeman parissa.

Yhteistyössä he ideoivat koulumatkan Marsissa, joka visualisoitiin 3D-tulostettujen esineiden ja Kehä-lyhytelokuvan muotoon.

Paluu utopiaan -installaatio on esillä Maunula-talossa 7.-21.12.

Recovered Utopias opening 7.12.

This autumn, artist Axel Strachnoy worked with students at MAYK and “senior consultants” from the neighbourhood to re-imagine utopias.

Together, the collaborators envisioned a school trip on Mars and created 3D-printed objects with a short film “The Circle”.

The Recovered Utopias installation will be presented at Maunula House December 7 – 21.
