Nov 17th marked the end of my training at New Hope Uganda. I graduated the class with 21 other students. I'm very thankful for the relationships, and knowledge that God has given me over the last 5 months. I drove up to Gulu on Nov 19th and have been working on getting familiar with the city here; driving around finding markets, grocery stores, the church site, and the clinic site.
The climate up here in the Northen part of the country is much dryer, which brings a bit of relief from the muggy humidity, and a blessing for my Colorado soul. The town of Gulu is nicely laid out, and the infrastructure seems to be moving along, with much wider roads, and a lot of new pavement being laid. The people here are generally very enjoyable, and welcoming. All things considered, It's wonderful to finally be where God is calling me and starting to understand what life will look like here on the day to day basis.
