Anyway, as we continue to build the Metro Startup Launcher audience and figure out how to get more people investing in startups, we're getting our monthly investor meetings rolling again. We've learned a lot since our last meeting, and we're excited to share with everyone.
Please note that this meeting is intended for potential investors only.
Why is this an investor only meeting? Because, we're trying to figure out what investors want.
Our research indicates that:
Startup investors average 27% return on their investment in the U.S.
They have to invest in 10 or more startups to accomplish these or better returns.
Our startup investors will make more money if they invest small amounts in lots of startups.
Our startup community needs lots more investors.
Everyone wants to make more money! :)
The meeting will include:
Discussion with local investors to determine their interests.
Working together to generate ideas for how to reach a larger audience.
An overview of how to take advantage of the 40-50% Kentucky Angel Investment Tax Credits.
Short presentations by two local startups that qualify for the Kentucky Angel Investment Tax Credits.
