Victoria Against Violence 2017 Campaign
 
16 Days of Activism - 25th November to 10th December 2017
This year marks the third anniversary of the State Government's Victoria Against Violence - 16 Days of Activism campaign commencing on 15 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) and ending on 10 December (International Human Rights Day). 

Check out the events happening in the Southern Mallee during the 16 Days of Activism below.
Swan Hill
Head on down to Cafe 202 on Wednesday 29th November 2017  from 10am-11am for a free morning tea and to show your support for gender equality and the prevention of family violence. 

Show your support by:
  • Wearing the colour orange
  • Decorating your organisation, shop front or house in the colour orange
  • Posting your activities and support on social media using the hashtags #putyourhandup #goorange #freefromviolence #WHLM4Women
  • Sharing why the prevention of family violence in Swan Hill is important to you
#GannawarraGoesOrange on Wednesday 29th November 2017 to help prevent family violence and raise awareness of gender equality. Wear and decorate with the colour orange throughout the day, and come along to Cohuna to take the White Ribbon Oath at 4.30pm. A session on Living in a digital world - tips on how to keep you and your family safe online will then be held at Northern District Community Health from 5pm.

Buloke
Come along to the Watchem Community Hub on Tuesday 5th December 2017 from 10am-11am to join us for morning tea and to help raise awareness of gender equality and the prevention of family violence.

  • Posting your activities and support on social media using the hashtags #putyourhandup #goorange #freefromviolence #WHLM4Women
  • Sharing why the prevention of family violence in Buloke is important to you
Swan Hill
On Tuesday 28th November 2017 a session on Technology and family violence, keeping yourself safe will be held at Mallee District Aboriginal Service, Swan Hill.
