ADOPT     FOSTER     VOLUNTEER     DONATE

Dear RCR Friends and Family,

We wanted to take this special time of the year to express our sincerest thanks to all of you for your support in volunteering, fostering, adopting, and donating financially to help the homeless, abused, and abandoned animals.

As you know, REDCOLLAR RESCUE often takes in animals with very serious medical conditions.  Once in our program, they get the best medical care possible, no matter the cost or time involved.

SAWYER:  One of the extreme cruelty cases this year was a dog named Sawyer.   Many of you followed his story and donated to his care.   Sawyer was severely abused at the hands of humans, and then discarded as trash on the brink of death.
He had serious medical issues including being severely emaciated, a bullet in his abdomen, multiple pelvic fractures, dislocated hips, a calcified mass in his colon impeding ability to defecate, distended bladder, dangerously high white blood count and low red blood count, sores all over his body, and much more.

After 37 long days in Critical 24 hour Care, Sawyer was finally stable enough to leave the hospital and go to a foster home.  There were a lot of trips back and forth to the vet clinic.   But with the love and commitment of his foster mom, his wonderful team of doctors, and your generous donations, Sawyer is a happy healthy boy today!

And drum roll please....

Sawyer has been adopted!   Sawyer totally stole his foster mom's heart, and she is now his forever mom!  We could not be happier for this sweet boy.

NIBLET: Our newest serious case is little Miss Niblet.  She was rescued from death row at a local shelter last week with a broken pelvis and dislocated hip, and is scheduled for major surgery this week.  Niblet is only one year old and weighs just 10 lbs.  She will be in need of a foster home in which to recuperate after her surgery.
Please Remember!

REDCOLLAR RESCUE is also excited to announce that we have recently launched a new and improved website!   Please take a minute to check it out at www.redcollar.org.

Our goal is to make our website more user friendly for our human friends, which will help our rescued kiddos find the perfect home!

With Heartfelt Thanks,
