Teen Gender Identity Today Parents Coalition of
Bay Area High Schools


A panel event with Lisa Kennedy, Gender Spectrum and Dr. Ilana Scherer, Child and Adolescent Gender Clinic, UCSF, moderated by Lyndsey Schlax, Ruth Asawa SOTA.  Learn the basics that can explain the difference between identity, orientation, and expression, and get an overview of the experiences and needs of gender-expansive students. Hear how language, terms, and ways of thinking about gender are changing , and more....

Elizabeth Carter, Asawa SOTA Theatre Department Artist-in-Residence under the direction of Department Director, Phil Rayher, has been mentoring students in Shakespeare, Voice, and Chamber since 2005. Elizabeth is a featured player in the Shotgun Players production of Black Rider: The Casting of the Magic Bullets. Music and lyrics by Tom Waits, tect by William S.
