GivingTuesday - PEP Talk - HCV Updates - 2018 Education Day - Gala Save the Date

It's GivingTuesday Today!

Today is GivingTuesday, a day after all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping sprees, where people around the world give back to those in need. The CHS encourages all its members, family and friends to participate in GivingTuesday, by giving to their favourite charity! Simply go to GivingTuesday.ca and search for your charity of choice. Don't know who to give too? The website gives you the ability to browse from a cornucopia of charities, including CHS-MC of course!

Happy Holidays and have a wonderful GivingTuesday!

- Jacob Figler, CHS-MC Board Director

PEP Talk Electronic Newsletter for CHS Families

Our goal is to raise awareness about the program and to create stronger community

PEP Talk was created to provide community for CHS families who have participated in a PEP workshop and to build on their learnings. PEP Talk is currently delivered to over 160 CHS members in English, about 4 times a year. Currently, only sent in English, we are happy to provide French translation of the notices in the newsletter. In the future, we hope to be able to provide a PEP Talk with French language videos and linked articles.

Class members can see updates on the 86-90 website http://www.hepc8690.ca/home-e.shtml, including status of payments, new motions and more. Further updates will be posted to this page, which is the best way for class members to keep up-to-date.

CHS-MC Education Day April 14th 2018

The Chapter's Education Committee is working with Greig, Matthew and Natalie (MBDP adult and pediatric physiotherapists) to develop a workshop for teens and adults who are interested in weight training. We are also excited to announce that 2017 Canadian national sledge hockey champion, Jeremy Hall, from Hemophilia Alberta will be helping out and sharing his experience being an athlete living with hemophilia.
The Chapter’s Education Committee is reaching out to our new families to ask what kind of programming they would like to see at Education Day 2018. If there is an activity or topic you would like us to cover with the kids 5 to 10 years of age, please send us an email at info@hemophiliamb.ca.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Winnipeg’s Executive Chef Phil Andrews, once again, welcomes the guests and supporters of the Canadian Hemophilia Society, Manitoba Chapter (CHS-MC) for a culinary adventure. The 2018 theme, European Bistro, was chosen by our impressive team of Winnipeg guest chefs who will collaborate on a menu to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

The evening begins with the sponsored cocktail hour at 6:00 pm. Guests can mingle and view the exciting offerings in the silent auction while savouring cold and hot hors d’oeuvres. Dinner starts at 7:30 pm and is a celebration of the talents of 6 of Winnipeg’s finest Chefs. Each course is expertly paired by a Product Ambassador from Manitoba Liquor Marts.
