The Phoenix Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues has recognized First Place-Phoenix with its Architectural Award. Special thanks to RSP Architects of Tempe and hardison/downey construction of Phoenix for creating supportive spaces for residents to learn, grow, thrive and succeed. Watch the video.

First Place to Share Housing Innovations at SFASA 2017 Conference

Join us for the “Thinking Big: Housing Innovations Across the Country” panel at the San Francisco Bay Area Autism Society conference, Saturday, Dec. 2. The SF Autism Society will be streaming the event on​ Facebook Live. The presentation on First Place starts at 8:40PST (9:40MST). 

Families Participate in First Hard Hat Tour

First Place AZ’s family coaching group, LNCS (Lifelong Networks for Communities of Support), participated in the first hard hat tour of the $15 million First Place-Phoenix, an 81,000-square-foot property opening to residents next summer. Families toured the future lobby with a concierge, community center for training, culinary teaching kitchen where residents will learn healthy cooking skills, First Place Global Leadership Institute, First Place Transition Academy, 55 private apartments with natural light, sports pool with aquatic classes, organic garden and more.​​ Watch the tour.

First Place Founder Honored as Morrison Institute Distinguished Fellow

Denise D. Resnik, First Place president/CEO, was recently honored as an Arizona State University​​ Morrison Institute for Public Policy 2017 Distinguished Fellow. Thank you, Jonathan Koppell, ASU Dean of College of Public Service and Community Solutions; Cynthia Lietz, ASU Senior Associate Dean of College of Public Service and Community Solutions; and Kristina Lopez, Assistant Professor of ASU’s School of Social Work, for our collaboration and your support!
