This #GivingTuesday, we have something special in store.

Yes, any donations made through our Facebook page will be matched, and donation fees waived!

But, we are also starting a new tradition.

Introducing #GivingBackTuesday.

Our Young Adult Leaders have told us that giving back is important to them.

Therefore, we are providing leadership opportunities and funding to our Young Adult Leaders so they can give back to their communities, through advocacy and direct service.

Meet four of our Young Adult Leaders who are giving back this #GivingTuesday.

Meet Elaine
Elaine recently graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. On Tuesday, November 28, at 10:00 am Eastern, Elaine will provide testimony before the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee hearing on FAFSA simplification. She is giving back by sharing her experiences to help shape financial aid policy and remove barriers for homeless youth who wish to go to college.

Meet Asher
Asher is a junior at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, majoring in Pre-Medical. He experienced homelessness when he was in his teenage years. At one point, he stayed outside and did not have access to basic human needs – including socks. This #GivingBackTuesday, Asher is excited to pay it forward by purchasing socks for those in need, because he knows the true value of a good pair of socks.

Meet Hannah
Hannah is a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Elementary Education and History.  For #GivingBackTuesday, Hannah decided to give back to Camp Kesem – a camp for kids whose parents are fighting (or have lost the fight) to cancer. She experienced something similar when her father died of cancer. She is now the camp counselor at this camp.

Meet Morgan
Morgan is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management at Louisiana Tech. She experienced many years of transition and knows how small kindnesses can make a big impact.

We are proud to partner with Elaine, Asher, Hannah, and Morgan, and we ask you for your partnership, as well.

Starting at 8:00 AM EST on Tuesday, November 28, any donations made to SchoolHouse Connection via our Facebook page will be matched, and Facebook’s donation fees will be waived. Your donation will help us give back to children, youth and communities through our advocacy; our resources for schools, early childhood programs and service providers; and our Youth Leadership and Scholarship program.

Thank you for your support! We wish you a good and fulfilling #GivingBackTuesday.
