December 2017 Newsletter
Good Morning, Friends,                                                                 November 27, 2017
It's a peaceful morning...  We are heading west with the Rocky Mountains in the horizon.  Soon it'll be the vast loneliness of Wyoming.
We praise God that travels to the States went well.  We enjoyed all the complementary, warm breakfasts the hotels served.  They were so satisfying that we ended up buying only 1 meal of grilled chicken and some fresh fruit during the 5 day trip to KS, plus had some left over from what we had taken along for the trip.  When we pass through the area in Mexico where they raise lots of tangerines, we always stop to buy a bushel for $3 - 4.  We ate all we could, but still had a bunch left over when we got to the U.S. border.  Knowing that one can not take fresh fruit into the U.S., we decided to fix 3 bags of tangerines and give them to some poor Mexicans at the border.  I still enjoy the memory of their delight!  Two of them must have been hungry for they immediately started eating them.  As we entered the U.S. border, they allowed us through without inspection...  We could have taken the tangerines with us to share with the family - but deep in our heart, we knew we did the right thing to share them with those in need!
Friends, Thank You so very much for praying for us on the way up as well as throughout this trip!!  Your support is a tremendous blessing to us!
It was a privilege to be able to spend lunch with Gustavo and Adeli at Misael's brother's house in OK on the way up.  We too had a beautiful time with all of my family in the mountains of CO for 4 days.  The children greatly delighted in all the snow that fell the 1st night we were there!
We too had many blessed times with family and friends the 3 1/2 days we were in KS over Thanksgiving.  As we start out the PR trip, we too anticipate seeing old friends and making new ones, as well as make memories as a family.
Kevin had his surgery on his arm Nov. 21.  His bones in his lower left arm were unattached so the doctor cut the crooked bone and attached the straight one to the main bone with a plate.  We trust the body will adjust to the change.  He of course had a lot of pain and swollen fingers to start with, but he's doing much better and taking very little pain killer.  He is able to join Gustavos in a bit of traveling in the U.S.
The school children had their end of school program 2 days before we left.  (Photos)
We invite you to pray for the Home that God would give the staff strength and wisdom in our absence and that His blessing would rest on the Home, giving each a desire to serve Him faithfully.
Thank You so much for your faithful support!  You are a tremendous blessing to the ministry!  May God bless and keep each of you and give you many blessed times with your family and friends during this holiday season!
For the Sake of the Kingdom,
                                                                   Misael and Regina and family
