As Christmas is almost here, we would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a great start to the New Year, from all of us at Armortek. We look forward to seeing the pictures of the models that you have been working on over the holidays !
We will be closed for our annual Christmas break from the 20th of December and reopen on the 4th of January.

SINCE OUR LAST UPDATE .....
Bailey Bridge
Shipping of the Bailey Bridge started in the 1st week of December. We had a few days delay whilst we waited for the cardboard packing boxes to arrive, but arrive they did and we managed to pack up and ship out the orders before the Christmas break.
Initially we offered the Bridge in 3 configurations - Single panel, Double panel and Triple panel. Because of the work required to stock all three variants, we have decided that from the 1st Jan we will only offer the Double Panel bridge for sale. Customers will be able to build the bridge as a Single of as a Double panel bridge and for a limited time, as long as they are in stock, we will provide the tie plates to connect to the Triple panel bridge.
The double panel Bailey Bridge is sold with 4 sections - two ramps and 2 spans. Pieter Koops has started a thread on the forum of his Bailey Bridge build - hopefully he will add some photographs as well. The thread can be found here.
Looks like there was a lot of pent up demand for the FAMO (Sd.Kfz.9). Within 3 weeks of opening orders, we hit the minimum number needed to make it commercially viable for us to commit to production!
At the moment our timetable is to start the design process in February. As usual this will involve desktop research as well as measuring a real version of the vehicle. We will then follow this by at least 1 prototype build before we commit to production. It is likely that the kits will be shipping mid summer, but we will only know once the design work is almost completed and we can plan the production.
The FAMO will be a big model - the longest that Armortek has ever made. This will stretch our machining centers to their maximum travel .... just one of the many reasons why we will not go into 1/4 scale !
OUR NEXT RELEASE
We have been busy working on the next model that we will release .... and she looks like a beauty !. The photos give some clues - we will have a formal launch in January once we have the artwork and production schedule sorted out.
Can't say too much except that we are really excited about this one and it will give our model builders a new challenge to get their teeth into. And no, the model won't fly and nor will it float !
