The awards pay tribute to individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to their local community and/or achieved exceptional results in sporting, or cultural endeavours.
There are eight award categories including:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Arts and Culture Award
- Community Group Award
- Environmental Achievement Award
- Lori Burgess Community Volunteer Award
- Senior Sports Award
- Young Sports Award
