This Saturday, December 9th, is our first of 19 group training runs.
All of the Saturday runs are on the Boston Marathon Course.
We will be doing a 6 mile out & back run along Beacon Street in Boston.
This run is on miles 22-25 of the Boston Marathon Course.
The run will leave from Joint Ventures Physical Therapy at 654 Beacon Street in Kenmore Square. Doors open at 7:30 AM, run departs at approximately 8:00 AM.
There will be water stops at mile 2 & 4. As the runs increase, Gatorade and snacks will be available.
A brief "Injury Prevention for Runners" presentation will follow the run at Joint Ventures.
Several Physical Therapists will be available post-run to answer questions and address injury questions.
The long run is the most important piece of the training plan.

✓ Prepares you for the difficulty of the Boston Marathon Course
✓ Should be run at a comfortable pace – you should be able to talk while running.
✓ Start easy to allow body to warm-up
✓ Try to find group or individuals that are running similar pace
✓ Keep shoulders, neck, & arms relaxed
