Dear Friends:

As usual, here I am stuck with just minutes left and a newsletter to write. I apologize for not taking more time to properly greet everyone and express my deepest gratitude to everyone that supports our clubs by either hanging out there or watching us live and sending a positive email. Jazz people are smart people - generally compassionate and gracious. Also joyful, in general, fun loving and deeply caring. This has been my experience from Beijing to Paris to New York (and everywhere else jazz is loved). Thank you to all for being so cool.

Mike Lipskin, Dan Levinson & Dinah Lee

Mike Lipskin has conertized stride jazz internationally for fifty years, played with Dick Hyman , Eubie Blake, Willie The Lion Smith, Ruby Braff.
Dan Levinson, great hot clarinetist. Featured with the great Vince Giordano orchestra, has appeared with Mel Tormé, Wynton Marsalis, and Dick Hyman.
Dinah Lee has concertized in the US and Europe. She's that rare tradjazz-swing vocalist who respects the song and adds depth and feeling in a special way.

Pittsburg native Richard Johnson is known for his work with Lincoln Center and Russell Malone. He has a strong connection to the tradition of the music and a strong swing feel. He is joined by vocalist Gregory Generet and bassist Curtis Lundy for an evening of trio.
