Our Charity Shop is Now Open in Dunstable

Our first charity shop opened in Dunstable on Friday 24th November. Among those attending were High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Vinod Tailor, and the town Mayor, Gloria Martin (pictured with Autism Bedfordshire's CEO, Emma Reade).

We have some very special things for sale, all of which are in excellent condition. From designer clothes and accessories, to books, toys and games. Please come along and browse and see if you can bag yourself a bargain while helping a good cause at the same time.

You can also help us by donating your quality, unwanted items. We need clothes and accessories, books, toys,  home accessories and decor to help provide a good variety of stock.

There is plenty of parking for dropping off donations, and a number of other local businesses to discover, so please come and visit us to say hello, learn more about what we do, and maybe even find yourself something special among our donated goods.

The shop is now open 09.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Saturday at 47 Lowther Road, Dunstable, LU6 3NL.

Thank You for Your Aviva Votes
We are delighted to announce that Autism Bedfordshire has reached the finals of the AVIVA Community Fund Awards for our Summer Activity Scheme 2018.

The finalists were officially announced on Tuesday and we have reached the finals in the Main Award category of ‘Health & Wellbeing’ at the £5,001 - £10,000 funding level. This is because we ended up with enough votes to put us in the top 21 projects for this level of funding.

Our entry will now be judged against the other finalists in our category by a panel of between 3 and 5 impartial judges. 7 awards will be made in the Health and Wellbeing category so we have a 1 in 3 chance of winning.

Our wholehearted and appreciative thanks to all of you who voted for us in the campaign and got your families, friends and (in some cases) pets to vote as well. Your support has given us a chance of receiving much-needed funds towards next year’s Summer Activity Schemes.

The judges' results will be announced on 16th January 2018 so watch this space!
