After much discussion, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming holiday pop-up until next year. For those of you who purchased tickets, please watch for a refund from Eventbrite over the next few weeks.
In the meantime, we have these beautiful bags that we were hoping to sell at the pop-up. They are made by Rembo International - a Kenyan company that specializes in customized bags and accessories. Founder and CEO Kelvin Musyoka was driven by his interest in fashion and the desire to create employment opportunities in his community. He began his business with two employees and grew it to a team of 12. So far, the business has supported over 16 families directly and 32 indirectly.
Kelvin is currently being mentored by i3f partner Ongoza. He recently appeared on the "Lion's Den" (Kenya's "Shark Tank") where he secured $25,000 in seed funding to grow his business even more.
