Announcements and Volunteer Opportunities

Buy Trees from MGs

Annual Fundraiser

The "Buy Trees From MGs" fundraiser supports the work of the Clemson Extension Tri County Master Gardener Association.  This non-profit garden group raises funds to support our community-based educational garden projects.
When you purchase bare root fruit trees, shade trees & ornamental shrubs from the Buy Trees From MGs fundraiser, you are supporting school gardening projects, youth education programs, Ask A Master Gardener events educational field days & public gardening projects throughout the Lowcountry!
We sell bare root plants which are young trees and shrubs that are field dug while dormant.  They are shipped without soil around their roots but are packaged to prevent drying.  Bare root plants are young, vigorously growing plants that are easily established with proper planting and care.  Each order comes with a care and planting tip sheet, plus Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions on our two  pick up days!
In addition, The Worm Factory 360 worm composting kit with or without a redeemable coupon for 1 pound of red wigglers is a great way to turn kitchen waste into rich compost quickly and efficiently.
Deadline to order is December 15th  Pick up for trees & composters  is Thursday, January 11th from 1pm-5:30pm or Friday, January 12th from 9am-Noon.
There are two locations for pick up available 1. The Clemson University Coastal Research & Education Center located at 2865 Savannah Hwy Charleston SC  29414  (Follow signs on Savannah Hwy) or 2.
