HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ITC!
Despite good intentions, the holidays can interfere with your fitness goals. Focusing on one or two high impact goals are a great way to leave you in the lead and have you setting new goals for The New Year instead of trying to dig yourself out of a hole. Setting a few simple goals and posting them where you can see them daily can help you breeze through the holidays like a CHAMP!
Action Step: Considering your typical schedule and the busier time of the holidays (holiday parties, holiday shopping, etc...) name one or two healthy behaviors that you will do to manage stress and maintain your fitness goals.
Accountability is key once you have set your goal. First, you need an accountability partner, preferably one with a similar goal. This can be a friend, relative, mate, facebook friend, coach or your Personal Trainer. Set a regular day, time and measuring tool to check in each week to evaluate your progress, figure out your lapses and what to do about them.
This goal setting model may look familiar to you. You may even be thinking about a few points to add, great! But, take care to focus on the day to day actions it takes to achieve your goal. What really needs your FOCUS is what you'll be doing between each accountability session.
