Mystery-Suspense Author

Dear Readers:

It's been a busy year, and I want you to know how much I appreciate having each and every one of you as a reader.  For me, one of the best parts of being an author has been connecting with my readers and hearing what they think, through emails, reviews, Facebook posts, or, best of all, in-person conversations..  I hope you'll stay in touch as we begin what promises to be a great year.

2017 Highlights
Topping the list, of course, was the successful launch of Freefall, the third installment in the Pen Wilkinson series, in April, including the launch party, bookstore and book club appearances, and online interaction that followed.  Also in the spring, I was invited to write a Pen Wilkinson short story for the anthology Cooked to Death 2: Lying on a Plate, edited by Rhonda Gilliland, and featuring culinary-related mystery stories by fifteen Minnesota authors.  My story follows Pen as she solves a crime with the help of her grandmother Doris's decadent dessert recipe.  Writing the story and attending related events was a blast, and I hope you'll check out the book, available at bookstores and on Amazon.

Don't Buy Downfall

That's right - do not buy the popular first book in the Pen Wilkinson series.  Why not?  Because I'm going to give it away.  That's right - early next year I'll be offering Downfall free in the eBook format of your choice on Amazon.  It's my way of saying thanks to those readers who have enjoyed my other books, and of encouraging other readers to meet Pen.  Watch your email - I'll be letting you know when the promotion will take place, and how to participate.

Setting Up for a "Fall"
I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my fourth Pen novel, which I plan to release in the fall of 2018.  Now, this is where I need your help.  I need a title for the book.  It should, of course, come as no surprise that the word "Fall" will be part of the title.  But as for the rest of it, well, I'm still deliberating.  Any ideas?

I need your help in another way.  I'm recruiting advance readers for my next title, people who will offer comments and suggestions, as well as agreeing to write a brief review on Amazon.  I'll be offering a free signed copy of the new book for those who participate.  If you're interested, just let me know.

Happy Holidays!
I wish you and your family a happy and blessed holiday season.  Keep in mind that good books make great gifts; if any of you would like a signed copy of any of my books, just email me and we'll set you up.

Take care.
