Important deadlines
Dear Butterfly Effect members,
We have just received some additional information regarding the World Water Forum. Below you will find updates on the various processes.
[URGENT] Regional Process
If you wish to take part in the Europe Regional Process, you can apply to the Europe Regional Sessions at the following link:

Political Process
The 1st PrepCom of the political process to discuss the ministerial declaration will take place on 13 and 14 December in Paris. Organizations
that have been formally invited to take part can register to the meeting
here. We will keep you informed on the outcomes of meeting later in December.
Sustainability process
A first draft of sessions has been proposed, and is still being validated. You can, however, start looking at the
list here.
Registration at the Forum
Registration for the Forum is open:
http://www.worldwaterforum8.org/register
Preferential rates are available until
15 December.
Regarding funding opportunities, from what we know so far, only people who can show they are
ACTIVELY AND OFFICIALLY involved in the Forum will be eligible for financial support. This means that if your organization is officially convener (part of a coordination group at some level in one of the processes), you are eligible. Applications for funding should be open starting Monday 4 December and will
ONLY be available on the Forum website.
Financial support should cover: entrance/ registration, flight, hotel accommodation. It will not include compensation for visa and insurance. All will be in-kind/ provided and there may be some additional exceptions. Organizations who think they qualify for the financial support should get in touch with their relevant coordinator. Once you have confirmed your eligibility with the proper coordinator, keep your eyes open for the proper application forms online. If you are eligible for financing, we advise our members to confirm their financial support before registering.
If not, or if you think you might be involved in the Forum later, we advise you to register now and to indicate in which sessions you plan on being a speaker.
Also, please note that the Butterfly Effect is still waiting information regarding
sponsorship opportunities and will share its findings in the following newsletters.
