Dear <<First Name>>

Welcome to our newsletter for December, 2017.  We have a bit to catch up on.

In the Blue Mountains, we recently lost a competent and wonderful man to a cliff based workplace accident.  The community has been shaken by it and our thoughts are with his family and friends.  It is a reminder of the very real risks that exist in these environments.  Please take care out there.

RopeLab Online Members' Content

Three new reports has been added to the Members' Content of the site.  The first looks at the performance of a few of the modern, aramid sheath, dyneema core, 8mm canyon ropes with the Petzl Tibloc. The second report builds on the earlier study on the knotted strength of Sterling Rope's 6mm PowerCord and retests a 3 year-old sample that has seen significant use.  The third report adds more data to a previous report on Rope Stretch by including a whole bunch of new ropes not previously studied.

Thank you to all our RopeLab Online Members.  Our membership base continues to grow steadily.  Please don't hesitate to send us your questions and problems using the contact form or email.  This helps us to better understand what issues you are facing and how we may help.

We had some website hosting issues earlier this month which resulted in some database errors.  Please let us know if you are having any problems with the website, and we can usually solve problems fairly quickly once we know about them.

We wish you all the very best for a safe and happy Christmas time.  Take the time to be with loved ones and do the things that make you sing.

With kindest regards,
Richard & Sarah
