December 2017 Newsletter
We would like to wish you a very Healthy & Happy Christmas.
GDPR has to be mentioned again (it won't be the last time), we have one more webinar to finish the year, plus write-ups from the Sales & Retention Convention.
GDPR - Sink or Swim
The Databasix session on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was the most popular session at the Sales & Retention Convention last month, according to polls before and after the event. The GDPR webinar last week also sold out, and we hope to repeat this session soon.
GDPR will come into force in May 2018. It protects the rights of individuals, giving them control over how their data is handled, and aims to simplify the regulatory process for businesses.
You can read a review of the Databasix session here, and the previous article on how GDPR will affect member retention and sales here.
The Sales & Retention Convention
There was a great turnout at the Warwickshire last month for a packed agenda of learning and networking. In terms of delegate numbers and feedback, it was the most successful convention yet. A big thank you to everyone who helped on the day, especially ukactive, the DataHub, Databasix, and Promote Leisure.
Delegates have a link to the slides and follow-up webinars. If you would like to read summaries of the presentations, you can do so here. There is one more webinar session next Tuesday 5th December, on Retention KPIs and how people and communications can help you to improve. You can register for this session here.
