Health Equity Messaging Guide

Voices for Healthy Kids, a collaboration between the American Heart Association and
the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has published a messaging guide, Health Equity
in Public Policy: Messaging Guide for Policy Advocates. Based on research and tested
with decision-makers and voters, the report provides messages, tips and insights to help
advocates make the case for specific language in public policies to ensure that they are
effective in advancing health equity. 

New Case Stories: School Wellness Policy Implementation   

Ad Lucem recently released a case story series on implementing comprehensive school wellness policies, developed with funding from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. The case stories describe activities conducted to implement the policy, systems, and environmental strategies and identify characteristics of effective implementation.

2018 Champion of Breakfast Awards     

These awards will recognize the outstanding achievements of school food authorities and individual schools that impressively administer the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and provide nutritious morning meals to children in the Western Region states.
