Why this class exists
Steph Haddad started her self-defense classes when a friend's daughter was assaulted while on vacation. The daughter wasn't alone, and she was in a populated area in daylight. Blaming victims for living their lives is not the answer to preventing assault.
Steph kicked into action and developed a class with her boyfriend, Vince Urruty, that helps parents and their kids learn how they have the power to defend themselves, become aware of their surroundings, and utilize the resources available to our families in times of need. Since then, she has been holding small and large group defense classes for women, families, and companies.
Her fellow instructors utilize their martial arts backgrounds and life experiences to bring warmth, professionalism, and fun to a very serious topic. It's not about expecting the worst; self-defense is about learning how strong (and fast!) you can be when it counts.
