ACTION ALERT: Residential Composting Incentives Amendment Act of 2017

Hearing November 16th


A hearing is scheduled this coming Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at 10am to discuss the proposed Residential Composting Incentives Amendment Act of 2017 (RCIAA), as well as the implementation of the Sustainable Solid Waste Management Amendment Act of 2014.

The proposed RCIAA would create a Home Composting Incentive Program (consisting of rebates and training) to encourage the purchase and installation of home composting systems at District residences.To support the act, or to provide input and recommendations, volunteer to send a letter or email or testify in-person at the public hearing. Details are below.
