Hey fellow NYJCian!
Thank you for your interest in the Nanyang Junior College Alumni Association! You are receiving this email because you have indicated interest or have joined us for a past event.
We will be celebrating the College's 40th Anniversary sometime around May 2018. As we prepare for the event, I would like to share with you what we will be doing over the next few months to prepare for the event.
- Over the next few weeks, we will be doing a limited reach-out to interested NYJC-ians like yourself who have indicated interest or joined our past events
- In January 2018, we will be holding a gathering for ex-NYJCians in College
- From January 2018 to March 2018, we will start to reach out to nearly everyone who has sung "Together We Build" since 1977 to invite them to join the Alumni as well as to sign up for the Anniversary Dinner
We need your help in any way to make this successful. Specifically, we are looking at the following avenues -
- Be part of the Alumni team to help organise the Anniversary Dinner.
There are many roles you can play, including outreach to the many batches of students, fundraising, and also the design of the Anniversary Dinner programme.
We plan to have as many of the Anniversary Dinner performances to be performed by our own Alumni!
We are also inviting those of you who are interested to serve in the Alumni EXCO to contribute towards the growth of the alumni and build it up into a well-respected organisation to cater to the needs of our former and current students.
- Re-connect with your former teachers and classmates. The College Management will be inviting past teachers some of whom have already retired, as well as former Principals, Vice Principals and Heads of Department.
Come and re-kindle those wonderful memories and get back in touch with them again especially those we have not seen for a long time! Start with a small Whatsapp group and get everyone to invite everyone else in! You will never know who you may reach! (And don't forget to forward this email to them!)
- Dig into your old photos, year book, and other College memorabilia! Share with us what you have found! We would love for some of these to be featured at our Anniversary Dinner! :)
There are so many things that we would like to share with all of you and joining us for the 40th Anniversary Dinner is one sure bet to meet as many people as possible.
There will also be a tour of the college prior to dinner.
Details of the dinner and the programme will be circulated to all of you soon.
The next anniversary celebration after 2018 will be in 2023 for our 45th Anniversary. But next year’s anniversary dinner is the golden opportunity not to be missed!
