Merry Christmas from our jungle home here in Gabon! May God bless you and your families this Christmas and may you have a wonderful new year. And as we reflect back on a year of transition and change, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for the blessings we have.
T - TEAM
We are so blessed not only by our team here at Bongolo, but also by our team of partners throughout the world. Through your love, encouragement, prayers, and financial support, we continue to work, minister, and teach here at the hospital. Thanks for being a part of our team.
H - HEALTH
Other than a few colds and one nasty GI bug, our health has been good all year. The same holds true for our family back in the States. Praise God for watching over us this year.
A - ANT KILLER
When you live in the jungle, there is a constant battle with ants. At times, it seems they are winning! We are thankful to have this little bottle of doom for the ants. When they show up on the counter, just a few drops will usually take out the whole bunch!
N - NATURE
Moving from the Alps of France to the jungles of Africa brought quite a scenery and climate change. We loved living in France and we love it here. God’s beauty in creation is all around us.
K - KIDS
What a joy to reflect back on a great year for our children and our grand-daughter. Adam has a good job with a great company and Sarah cherishes motherhood. Eloise turned one in October and is active, healthy, and walking. Aaron continues to do well studying engineering at Miami University and leading high school students in a local Young Life group.
S - SAVIOR
This Christmas we are most thankful for Jesus whose birth we celebrate. Despite being far from family this holiday season, we are comforted by the one who came to earth because of his overwhelming love for us. Join us in celebrating Jesus this Christmas.
"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” - John 3:17
