My beloved husband gave me a Wonder Woman T-shirt for our anniversary. (We celebrated 22 amazing years on 2 December.) This T-shirt means so much more to me than an expensive piece of bling (although I do LOVE gifts that come in small packages).
It means so much because of the message it sends – my husband is acknowledging and affirming everything I do as a wife, mother and businesswoman. It's fantastic to be seen as a superhero who masters the challenges of every day. Although these challenges don't include leaping tall buildings in a single bound or flying faster than a speeding bullet!
With this message, I would like to thank all the everyday heroes who cross my path. Firstly, our amazing patients – especially those who struggle with life’s greatest battles and triumph. Secondly, my incredible staff who serve with such heart and professionalism.
And lastly to our supporting doctors. Somerset West can be justifiably proud of the calibre of doctors who practice in this area. What a privilege to observe these surgeons at work and then experience the amazing healing transformations their patients undergo.
