Weekly Meeting

Our next weekly gathering takes place this evening, Sunday, December 17th for meditation and dharma sharing, 6:30pm at Unitarian Place (Kingston Unitarian Fellowship), 206 Concession Street. Linda Tucker will be bell minding.
Please note that there will be NO regular meeting of Interbeing Sangha for the next two weeks, including Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24th and New Year's Eve, Sunday, December 31st. We will resume our weekly meetings in the new year on Sunday, January 7th, 2018. Happy, healthy holidays to all our sangha family and friends. May you have peace and take time to enjoy the present moment, during these busy times.
Message of Love

"Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth... This is the real message of love.”

What Am I Rushing To?

Please note that the monthly session of Soulful Singing at KUF has been cancelled for this Tuesday, December 19th, and will resume in the new year. However, there are several other opportunities over the next week to engage in meditative singing:
Wendy Luella Perkins invites you to join a circle of singers to meditatively sing "What Am I Rushing To?" a simple song for around 30 minutes in various public spaces around Kingston, done annually since 2013. The words are:
What am I rushing to, what am I rushing for? (2x)
Slow down, slow down and savour (2x)

In a notoriously busy and often stressful month, our song offers the frenzied and the frazzled a chance to take a breath, slow down and savour the moment.
Sat. Dec. 16, 12:15-12:45pm: The Cataraqui Mall, in the west end, meeting at the top of the main escalator -- a heads-up, we may be asked to leave from security.
Thurs. Dec. 21, 12:15-12:45pm: Hotel Dieu Hospital Lobby (Brock + Montreal St. )
Friday Dec. 22, 8:30-10:00am: The Airport!! (note the longer time--come when you can--this covers an arriving and departing flight) You can listen to the song at http://artists.cbcmusic.ca/artist/35844 scroll down, then click on the song.

No Coming, No Going

"The practice and understanding of impermanence is not just another description of reality. It is a tool that helps us in our transformation, healing and emancipation. Impermanence means that everything changes and nothing remains the same in any consecutive moment. And although things change every moment, they still cannot be accurately described as the same or as different from what they were a moment ago. . . The insight of impermanence helps us to go beyond all concepts. It helps us to go beyond same and different, and coming and going. It helps us to see that the river is not the same river but is also not different either."
