Dear Family and Friends,
Thanks to your support, Aliya and other children are learning English while they study the importance of protecting our earth. Every cent you provide goes directly to the small start-up programs we support in India, Vietnam, Nepal and Tanzania. Together we have made a big difference in the lives of vulnerable kids who now can attend school.
Our CCI strategy is simple:
- Aside from good health, education is the most basic requirement for success in a child’s life – promoting economic viability and independence.
- Many children in developing countries cannot attend school because their parents’ typical wages (a dollar or two a day) are too low to pay for required school uniforms, books and fees.
- A commitment of $20 a month or $240 per year means that a child can attend school, and have a chance for a life with more opportunity. For $67 a month ($800 per year) a girl can enroll in a university.
Last year, CCI supported 91 Vietnamese children in school and 2 young women in university. We helped build a library in a Nepali village, provided funding to a school for orphans and village children in Tanzania, and offered English language programs and computer literacy training for Indian children and youth. CCI has been able to accomplish so much with your help, that of other friends and family, and the core support that we provide.
