Town Celebrates East Fremantle Pioneers

The Town celebrated the contribution made by our Pioneers at a luncheon held at Swan Yacht Club earlier this month. Over 140 local pioneers (that is, residents aged over 60 who have lived in the Town for more than 30 years) enjoyed a delicious Christmas Lunch, dancing and catching up with old friends.  Mrs Pat Newton was celebrated this year as the 'Guest of Honour' and assisted the Mayor Jim O'Neill with cutting the Christmas cake.  Pat and her husband John have lived in the Town since the early 1960's with John building their home in Alexandra Road in which they raised their two sons.
