It's getting closer to Christmas, and this is the last UpDAYte of 2017!  Last month we had the absolute privilege of travelling to Cape Town in South Africa to train up 12 practitioners to become DAY Session Leaders.  We had an amazing time and it was brilliant to see how the DAY Programme material are versatile enough to transfer to such a different context!

Last month we also ran "Building Your Compass" training in London with a group of practitioners, exploring working with children and young people with diverse gender identities.  Do get in touch with us if you would be interested in booking the training in your local area.

Cape Town Training

At our Cape Town Training event we had a social worker, foster mothers, a teacher, teaching assistant, youth worker and vicar take part.  We have created a South Africa channel on the DAY Hub that will hopefully become more populated as we come across useful video content.  We are grateful to the South African organisation, The Message, for translating the Dominator and Equaliser into Xhosa (you can access it HERE), and are hopeful that if we deliver more training in South Africa, more of the DAY materials will be available in both Xhosa and Afrikaans.  We hope you enjoy our photos from the training!
