This Thursday is our Holiday Dance Party. Thank you for voting for the dances to include! It is always interesting to discover the dances that you enjoy the most. All the dances with 3 or more votes made the list. I randomized them, then tweaked the order a bit so it would make more sense. Then I promoted 8 dances from 2 to 2.5 votes and added them to the end. There may not be time for these extra dances, but they will be ready just in case. See the playlist here and at the bottom of this email. It includes many links to dance videos and instructions.
No dancing on Dec 21, Dec 28, and Jan 4. Dancing resumes on January 11, 2018. But, please come to my house for a New Year's Eve Dance Party. Hope to see you then! Details below.
Extra events are optional and are listed here for your information. If a couple of hours of dancing once a week on Thursdays is as much as you want or can manage, that is fine!
- Teaching at party in Agassiz, 7pm, Friday, December 29.
- New Year's Eve Dance Party at Dale's house, 16479 92A Ave, Surrey, 7pm to midnight, Dec 31. Bring snacks and beverages to share. Request dancing all evening!
- Pre-festival workshop with Sonia and Cristian, Thursday, April 19, 7-10pm.
- Lyrids Folk Dance Festival, April 20-22, 2018. Featured teachers will be Sonia Dion and Cristian Florescu. Save the date!
- Post-festival workshop with Sonia and Cristian, Tuesday, April 24, 7-10pm, at Charles Rummel Community Centre in Burnaby.
