To God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Dear friends,

In 1 Timothy 3:15, Paul calls the church “the pillar and buttress of the truth.” That means the church holds up the truth, and the truth continues from generation to generation through the efforts of the church. For going on 2,000 years now, the church has done just that!  At some times better than others, but nonetheless, there is an unbroken tradition within the church of confessing and propagating “the mystery of godliness” (1 Tim 3:16). The Lord himself is sovereign over this enduring effort, yet he is pleased to use each generation to pass the truth on to the next

It has now fallen upon this generation—you and me—to do as our forbearers in the faith did: understand, defend and pass on the truth.

To that specific end Indianapolis Theological Seminary exists. We aim specifically at collaborating with local churches for biblical and theological training of the next generation of Kingdom leaders. We do not stand outside or over against the church, but squarely within it.

We see ourselves as a collection of local servants bringing our God-given gifts to the larger educational co-op of the church.

And therein lies the key: cooperation. If we are going to be faithful in this generation to leave an on-going and strong “pillar and buttress of the truth” to the next generation we need to cooperate. Our board, our professors, several local churches and many individuals are already cooperating for this crucial work. If that describes you, thank you!

  • Now, will you also join us?
  • Will you link arms with us and help us build this important institution in our city?
Please consider a generous year-end contribution to Indianapolis Theological Seminary. Your year-end gift of $100, $500, or $1,000 will be used for this vital Kingdom work. Even better, please consider making a recurring monthly donation throughout 2018.
  • All the information for giving can be found in the links above.
  • Or contact me by simply replying to his email. I will gladly sit down with you and share more of our vision!

Together we can leave future witnessing generations a strong “pillar and buttress of the truth” for the glory of God and the good of local churches.
